“Building For The Future”

St. Leo the Great Parish Center

Dear St. Leo the Great Parish Family:

It is with great anticipation that we prepare to open our new parish center along with our  activity center. Many thanks to Doug Scheid and all of the members of the parish center building committee for their hard work and input which made this building possible. Drawings for the new center will be placed in the gathering space for you to see.

Earlier, Ann Barton and Melissa Jacobs outlined ways parishioners can help financially with the construction and furnishing of the center. Parishioners will be able to make tax deductible donations in a couple of different ways:

  1. General donations. Use a regular envelope and mark “Parish Center Donation” and place it in the offertory collection basket or mail it to the parish office. You can also make a donation on-line at the parish website using your credit card.
  2. If you would like to donate a specific item, please contact the parish office at 835-8905. There is a list of needed items enclosed in this brochure.

Like the building committee, I am very excited about the future of our parish as we take another step forward in the legacy of our parish.

Please know of my prayers for you and your family. I rely on your prayers as well.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Zapfel
Pastor

Parish Center Design

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]Objective

The focus of the building committee was to have a properly sized center, connected to the church that would meet our future needs.  It allows for easy and convenient access and it ties together all of the existing features of our campus like the prayer garden, traffic circle and walkway. The exterior will feature an area of brick from the  former school building that will be shaped in a cross.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”9834″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]We have updated the front of the  church with new sliding glass doors, flooring and a new enclosed entrance. The main entrance to the center is off  the  gathering space.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”9835″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]The banquet room  will have a capacity of 275 occupants and will be ideal for parish events as well as hosting wedding receptions, seminars, etc.
