Living Word Prayer Group

Meetings: Thursdays at 7pm in the Chapel

In Matthew18:20 Jesus said “Where two or three come together in My name I am there with them”. St. Leo the Great prayer group meets in Jesus’ name and in His presence. We give him praise, thanks honor and love as our Lord and Savior. The purpose of our weekly meeting is simple, we come to glorify God and strengthen each other in faith. There is time for Scripture reading, teaching, song and silent prayer and a time to pray for special intentions. We have no dues, attendance sheets, no age limits, you can come late or leave early if you need to – you can come every week or when ever you can. The important thing is that you come and once you do, you will be part of the “Living Word” Prayer Group family for life and in our prayers always.

Evangelization is spreading the good Word of the Lord to the parish and wider community. Examples of ongoing activities: The Weinberg Ministry, visiting parishioners in nursing homes, coordination of parish census. One time events: special handouts at Christmas and Easter masses, large print missals, obtaining wheelchairs for church, bringing in various speakers and special events.
